The mountain safety council has put together a website that contains guidance on what you can do in the outdoors at the current Covid-19 alert level in New Zealand. This is a very useful resource.
The forested area of Okura Bush will be temporarily closed from 12 May to prevent the spread of, and protect against, kauri dieback disease.
The track from Stillwater to Dacre Cottage is open. This closure only affects from Dacre Cottage to Haigh Access Road, where the track will continue to be upgraded to ensure is safe for Kauri.
