The forested area of Okura Bush will be temporarily closed from 12 May to prevent the spread of, and protect against, kauri dieback disease.
The track from Stillwater to Dacre Cottage is open. This closure only affects from Dacre Cottage to Haigh Access Road, where the track will continue to be upgraded to ensure is safe for Kauri.

Auckland Council staff will now begin to decommission tracks, remove signage and begin the process of restricting access to the Waitākere Ranges Regional Park.
